Hello My Beloved,
When I look on you, I smile. Having you as my child brings my heart so much joy. You truly do make me proud.
Here you are watching everyone around you be “blessed,” and you are next in line. I know you feel that you are the last pick, but I have something to say about that:
So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
Matthew 20:16
In my kingdom, the way up is down. I love the lowly. I value the meek. I like the last pick. All who are called by me are blessed, but there is something special about the last pick.
The last pick get to see the full testimony of my goodness and see how time and time again I have proven myself mighty.
The last pick gets to have front row seats of the lessons of those that were picked before them. You get to observe their trials and triumphs, and adjust you behavior and heart posture accordingly.
The last pick gets the most time in anticipation of me. When they are finally picked and called upon, they are closest to the field because the dugout is full. They go from last picked to first up to bat. They get first crack at the enemy. They reign with me.
All my picks are blessed. But there is a special place in my heart for the last. You see beloved the last have believed even when they could not see and I honor that:
Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
1 Peter 1:6-9
You may be the last picked for the job, last picked for the spouse, last picked for the children, last picked for the things that you think you need, but beloved you shall be first. You shall be first to witness my glory, so hold on! Gain and maintain right perspective. Let your confession be:
“I may have been picked last, but the last shall be first and the first shall be last!”
Proper perspective will spiritually prosper you. And beloved, my delay is not a denial. Though it tarry, wait on it, it will surely not delay. I who have promised it am faithful.
I love you my beloved “last pick!”
Love, Abba Father
