I think I figured out who I’m talking to…

So, God is so amazing in that He puts ministry right in front of you and you don’t even realize it. God recently reconnected me with someone I didn’t expect to hit it off with. She is a kind person but can be misunderstood. She has a lot of room to grow, but don’t we all. There are a couple of things about her though that I see in myself:

  1. She is a believer in Christ
  2. She has been churched
  3. She is currently unchurched/under-churched
  4. But she wants to do better and is seeing her deep need for God
  5. She is slowly pursuing God and starting somewhere
  6. She is reading the Bible
  7. She wants to grow in understanding

So this woman I am describing and me have a lot in common. When I think about the people God puts in my life to encourage, they generally have a similar makeup:

  • Churched
  • Love God
  • Unchurched
  • Wanting Him
  • Growing in their seek

I believe this is the woman that Refresh Her Course blog is for. This blog is to encouraged the woman who is over the performance of people and want the person of God. It is for the woman who wants to take it serious and wants to take it personal. It is for the woman who tried the world, tried God and is wise enough to acknowledge that God is better. It is for the woman who is ready to die to self to be alive in Christ Jesus. It is for YOU. It is for me. So yes, I want to exhort (urgently stir) the mature in Christ who know better and are pressing to do better consistently. The ones who are not satisfied with being in the same place with God this time next year when they know they can grow so much more. I am instructing the woman who is growing in her faith, only sharing what Holy Spirit says and the things I KNOW work because I tried them, and if I’ve been slow to exercise them, still know they work because I have seen others work the principle and get results. I am writing to all who need a drink from the the flowing stream of God’s abundant encouragement in this life’s journey. I am called to refresh others and make streams. The verse that really came to me when thinking about this blog is:

5Blessed are those whose strength is in You, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. 6As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; even the autumn rain covers it with pools. 7They go from strength to strength, until each appears before God in Zion.

Psalm 84:5-7

God has given me encouragement in the valley of weeping that has refreshed me and is carrying me through until I get to Him. I am called to do the same, encourage women in life’s various valleys and refresh her, transforming a time set for weeping to a time purposed for refreshing, giving her strength and more strength until she reaches Jesus.

Thank you Lord for showing me who I am talking to. May I speak so that only You are heard.
